For those who like to venture beyond their chosen resort and prefer greater independence than the choice of excursions offered, Sicily lends itself ideally to exploration by hire car. Except in the main cities the roads are un-crowded and the excellent network of motorways enables considerable distances to be covered in good time.
Our rates are fully inclusive of unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, personal accident, theft waiver (excess liability for theft in all car groups
), road fund tax and IVA (VAT) which if booked in the UK represents a considerable saving over what you would pay
locally.
To hire a car you must be a minimum age of 25 years and have a full licence for 1 year - younger drivers are possible at an additional fee and must be requested at the time of booking. Drivers holding an old-style green licence are required to obtain an international translation (usually available from RAC and AA). The newer pink/green European or the photo-card licences are valid.
Also included
Super collision damage waiver is included. Any
excess charged for accidental damage (providing any damage is
reported immediately to the hire company and is not caused by negligence
or driving without due care and attention) can be
claimed back on your return.
Cars are hired with a full tank of petrol and
you must return it full to avoid a re-fuelling charge. The lead
driver will be required to leave a credit card imprint to cover
this, accidental damage ( which may be claimed back) and any
charges/ fines incurred.
In order to negotiate the most favourable rates
we use several suppliers and prices are subject to variation from the prices
below. There may be additional charges for extra drivers and out of hours pick
up times.
