DAY 1 SATURDAY
Palermo
Arrive at NH hotel Palermo,
welcome cocktail, dinner & overnight.
DAY 2 SUNDAY
Cefalu, Reggio Calabria, Messina.
After breakfast depart for
Cefalu famous for its Norman Cathedral & medieval
wash-house. On to Capo d'Orlando for lunch. Continue to
Messina, sea condition permitting embark for Reggio Calabria
to visit the famous " Bronzi di Riace". Dinner
& overnight at NH Jolly Messina
DAY 3 MONDAY
Taormina, Mount Etna, Catania
After breakfast depart for Taormina famous for its Roma-Greek
theatre. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Mt
Etna (weather condition permitting) to 800 mt. On
to Catania for a panoramic tour of the town's baroque
architecture & black lava stone built streets. Dinner
& overnight at NH hotel Jolly Bellini Catania. DAY 4 TUESDAY
Siracusa, Ragusa, Caltagirone.
After breakfast depart for
Siracusa to visit the archaeological area including the famous
Latomie of the Paradise & the Dyonisios "Ear"
& the island of Ortigia, the baroque old city centre of
Siracusa. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon departure for
Ragusa whose historical centre Ibla is the capital of Siciy's
baroque style. Enjoy an aperitif in the main square by the
Dome. On to Caltagirone for dinner & overnight at NH hotel
Villa San Mauro.
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY
Piazza Armerina, Agrigento.
After breakfast visit Caltagirone, famous centre of Sicilian
ceramics. Depart for Piazza Armerina to visit the world famous
mosaic of Villa del Casale. Lunch in a local restaurant then
on to Agrigento for a visit of the Valley of the Temples
including Juno, Corcord, Heracles & Zeus. Dinner and
overnight at NH Dioscur Bay Place. After dinner enjoy a
panoramic tour of the illuminated Valley of the Temples.
DAY 6 THURSDAY
Mazara del Vallo, Erice, Trapani.
After breakfast depart for Mazara del Vallo, visit the Kazba
& Museum del Satiro. On to Marsala for a visit of one of
the many wine cellars in the area & wine tasting. Lunch in
a local restaurant. On to Erice located 800 mt above the sea,
a fascinating medieval town. Dinner & overnight at NH
Crystal in nearby Trapani.
DAY 7 FRIDAY
Segesta, Monreale, Palermo.
After breakfast depart for Segesta to visit the Doric Temple
surrounded by a unique landscape. On to Palermo for lunch.
Afternoon visit of the city including the Cathedral, Palatine
Chapel in the Royal Palace & panoramic tour of the
historical centre. On to Monreale to visit the Dome &
Benedictine Cloister in pure Norman style. Dinner &
overnight at NH hotel.
DAY 8 SATURDAY
